Each fall and spring, courses are offered on a topic from Scripture, Church teaching, or a current topic of interest. The class typically meets during the day in the Disciples Room. Past topics have included: The Gospel of Mark, Catholicism and Islam, and Understanding Vatican II.
Spring 2019 Seminars
The Holy Land: A Pilgrimage through the Footsteps of Jesus — This virtual pilgrimage will help us travel through the places where Jesus lived and preached. This is led by Sr. Karen, O.P., on Thursday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Disciples Room.
A Walk Through the Catechism — Those versed in Catholic teaching and those who have never opened the catechism are invited to walk through the basic teachings of our faith. This is led by Fr. Reginald on Thursdays in the Disciples Room from 7-8 p.m.
Why Catholic? — This is a discussion of Michael Leach’s lighthearted and amusing but profound book, Why Stay Catholic? Unexpected Answers to a Life-Changing Question. This discussion is led by Dr. Jill Raitt on Tuesdays in the Disciples Room from 10:30-11:30 a.m., March 5 through April 9.
