Homilies

Fr. Dan – Solemnity of The Holy Family: To be in the world or in Christ, that is the question!

Homework for the week: Remind yourself and your family this week to be in Christ, not in the world, serving, loving, suffering, and obeying as the holy family.

Fr. Dan – Christmas Eve Midnight Mass: What’s new this Christmas?

Homework: For your homework, I just want you to pray with me every day, thank God, I have a Savior! Thank God, I have a Savior, one and only, true and perfect, Father-forever, Prince of Peace.

Fr. Dan – Christmas Eve Vigil Mass: God delights to be in your story

Christmas Homework: Think about, pray about how your biography would be written…and how prominently Christ would play in it.

Fr. Dan – 4th Sunday of Advent: The obedience of faith

Homework for the week: Practice your obedience of faith this week by using the words of Mary in response to Gabriel. With all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, pray every day this week: behold, the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.

Fr. Dan – 3rd Sunday of Advent: Testing the spirit and acting on prophetic utterances.

Homework for the week: Pray these Sunday readings again, asking the Lord for the prophetic utterance here that He wants you to act on this week. Scripture isn’t just the Hallmark channel for Church. It’s the prophetic utterance we need to put to work in our lives.

Fr. Dan – 2nd Sunday of Advent: John the Baptist is the greatest because his whole life pointed to Jesus.

Homework for the week: Pray to John the Baptist this week to intercede for your own deepening conversion. And give the Lord permission to put His power, the power of the Holy Spirit, to work in you.
